1. Scope and responsible service
This policy applies to the FocusFlow website at pomodoro-focusflow.com, including its focus timer, informational pages, and related browser features. “FocusFlow,” “we,” and “the service” refer to this website.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to contact@pomodoro-focusflow.com.
2. Data stored in your browser
The timer is designed without an account database. The following information is stored in local browser storage on your device:
- outcome and task text, completion state, and estimated focus sprints;
- distraction parking-lot notes;
- timer preset, remaining time, sound preference, and visual theme;
- daily totals for focused minutes, completed sprints, and completed outcomes.
This information is not transmitted to FocusFlow by the timer code and does not automatically sync between browsers or devices. You can remove it through your browser’s controls for site data. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or changing browser profiles may permanently remove your workspace.
3. Technical and server data
Like most websites, the hosting provider may process limited technical information when it delivers a page. This can include an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information, referrer, and security or error data. Such logs help deliver the site, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain security.
The exact retention period for infrastructure logs is determined by the hosting provider and operational requirements. FocusFlow does not use task text from local storage as server-log data.
5. Legal bases and purposes
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, technical data may be processed for legitimate interests in security, reliable delivery, abuse prevention, and service improvement. Non-essential advertising or analytics storage is used on the basis of consent where required. Legal obligations may require limited processing or disclosure.
FocusFlow does not sell the task text stored in your browser. We do not knowingly use locally stored outcome or distraction content to build advertising profiles.
6. Sharing and international processing
Technical information may be processed by service providers that operate hosting, security, consent management, analytics, or advertising. Advertising providers may act under their own privacy terms. Data may be processed in countries other than yours; providers are expected to use legally recognized safeguards where those are required.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the service or its users, investigate abuse, or respond to valid legal process.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to a local data-protection authority.
Most workspace data can be controlled directly because it is stored on your device. Use the browser’s site-data settings to inspect or delete it. For information held in server systems or to exercise another applicable right, email the address below. We may need enough information to verify and locate a request, but we will not ask for more than is reasonably necessary.
8. Children
FocusFlow is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect account profiles from children because the service does not offer accounts. If you believe a child has provided personal information through another channel, please contact us.
9. Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a small web service, including encrypted HTTPS delivery. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Local workspace data remains until it is deleted by you, the browser, or the device. Other information is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may change when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top will be revised, and material changes may be highlighted on the site.
11. Contact
